If you want to learn to drive in Loughborough or the surrounding areas, you need to call me today here at Modern Driver Training. My name is Alan Southwart and I have been running my driving school since qualifying as a Driving Standards Agency approved driving instructor in 2006.
With 3 years experience and many first time pass students, you can put your trust in me. I am able to help you get on the road to a successful driving future, pass your test and start enjoying life on the road.
Having over 26 years of driving experience including holding a LGV 1 license for 21 years, and approximately 10 years of instructing both learner motorcyclists and car drivers I am able to offer you a completely professional service catering to your needs.
What I Offer You
At my leading driving school in Melton Mowbray I present you with the opportunity to pass your driving test through a series of professional driving courses. I employ both male and female instructors that will guide you through the training in a calm, confident manner, making the experience an enjoyable one.
I am able to offer you with a range of tuition services to help get you on the road to a successful driving life. I provide all manner of courses for all types of students including:
- First time lessons
- Pass Plus courses
- Motorway training
- Intensive tuition
Once I feel you are confident enough and you demonstrate an understanding of driving, I will then organise you a "mock test" with a fellow ADI (Louisa Selby - Selby's Pass Fast Driving School) so you can experience the feeling of driving alone with a stranger before the big day!

I have been a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists for 5 years which is a mark of my expertise and professionalism. All lessons are carried out in a Peugeot 207 with dual controls and fully insured and MOT'd.
I also offer the option to have you lessons filmed, if available I can record your lesson and let you borrow the camera to connect straight to your TV to watch it back, picking up on your movements and learning along the way on what to do correctly, thus improving your skills.
